1. Manaus - Aankomst
Na aankomst op de luchthaven wordt u verwelkomd en met een prive transfer naar het hotel gebracht. De rest van de dag is vrij te besteden.

Vandaag kunt u naar eigen inzicht besteden en Manaus verkennen.
3. Manaus - Dagexcursie Presidente Figueiredo (Watervallen middenin de jungle)
Vandaag staat er een boeiende natuur dagexcursie op het programma door de Amazone Jungle naar de Presidente Figueiredo watervallen. Een dag vol avontuur wacht op u, waarbij u betoverende watervallen in de Amazone Jungle bezoekt en zwemt in natuurlijke zwembaden. U wordt in de ochtend opgehaald bij het hotel en aan het einde van de middag er weer afgezet.
4. Manaus hotel - Uakari Floating Lodge
Vandaag eindigt het Manaus arrangement. U wordt opgehaald bij het hotel en naar de luchthaven gebracht, met aansluitend een vlucht naar Tefé. Na aankomst wordt u verwelkomd op de luchthaven en naar de Uakari Floating Lodge gebracht. Hier verblijft u op basis van volpension, met dagelijkse excursies inbegrepen.

It's good for people that don't have much time to travel and need to know the places they pass. 3 nights at the Lodge are ideal for them. They will be able to enjoy all flooded forest environments, observe their scenic beauties, see fauna along the trails and in Mamirauá lake. And they will be able to know how riverine people live. They are going to have the chance to increase their knowledge with lectures given by a naturalist guide and by the researchers. Daily contact with the guides and other employees will also increase their knowledge.
3-night package (flood stage)
It's the ideal package to enjoy the trip as much as possible with little time. During the flood stage it's not possible to go hiking, but people can canoe in the forest and it has a significant role as well. Besides, it's possible to take a boat trip, to visit a riverine community and learn about local habit. Daily contact with the guides and other employees will also increase visitor's knowledge.

During the 4 nights you will be able to know the different habitats that freshwater swamp forests offer, to walk in the forest during the day or at night, to go to paddling trails, to see the sunset and come back looking for animals at night with motor canoe. You will meet a riverine community, where you're going to learn about local people life and see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers.

Not taking a walk doesn't compromise your trip during flood stage. It makes you feel a unique sensation while you go to paddling trails in flooded forests. Besides, you'll be able to know other places using a motor canoe, a riverine community and see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers. During the 4 nights you will be able to know the different habitats that freshwater swamp forests offer, to walk in the forest during the day or at night, to go to paddling trails, to see the sunset and come back looking for animals at night with motor canoe. You will meet a riverine community, where you're going to learn about local people life and see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers.

If you have more time and you want to know as much as possible about Mamirauá reserve, the 7-night package is excellent. In this period you can double the activities: walk on more trails, take more paddle canoe and motor canoe tours during the day or at night. You can enjoy sport fishing and try to get closer and know piranha. You can also visit two traditional communities. To complete the schedule, you can see lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers. It's also possible to spend the night in a suspended house in the forest. That's a unique experience.
7-night package (flood stage)
You have plenty of time to enjoy this unique moment. You'll be able to know many flooded trails with a paddle canoe and visit distant places with a motor canoe. It's also possible to visit two local communities, try to catch piranha and know much more about the Amazon forest with lectures given by the naturalist guide and the researchers. If you prefer, you can sleep a night in a suspended house in the forest and wake up with the animals sounds.

Vandaag eindigt het arrangement in de Uakari Floating Lodge. U wordt door de lodge op de luchthaven van Tefé afgezet, met aansluitend een vlucht naar Manaus, waar u overstapt op de vlucht naar Santarém. Na aankomst wordt u verwelkomd op de luchthaven en naar het hotel gebracht. De rest van de dag kunt u naar eigen inzicht besteden.

About the region:
Located in Pará state, where the Tapajós and Amazon rivers meet, the pleasant town of Santarém serves as a base to explore this fascinating region. As well as displaying evidence of prehistoric occupation, the area around Santarém was home to one of the largest pre-Columbian populations in the Americas, whose ceramics and agricultural techniques have left traces that date back 2,000 years. Today various indigenous communities, such as the Jamaraquá and Maripá, inhabit the surrounding rainforest. During the dry season, the rivers recede to reveal fine white beaches, and the Encontro das Aguas - where the brownish waters of Amazon meet, and eventually mingle with, the clear waters of the Tapajós - is a memorable spectacle.
Built on higher ground, a little way up the Tapajós, the village of Alter do Chão has splendid views of the river and its turquoise lagoon, while further upriver lies the Tapajós National Forest and the intriguing former rubber plantations of Fordlândia and Belterra. This fascinating trip, accompanied by experienced local guides, includes camping for several nights under the Amazon sky.
Although almost anyone can do this expedition, you should ideally be physically fit and have sufficient stamina to walk in the tropical heat and humidity.
9. Tapajós Rainforest Experience (Dag 2, 4-daagse arrangement)
Day 2 | Speedboat ride to FLONA-Community Jamaraquá (departure at 08:30 from Belo Alter Beach Hotel). Navigating the Tapajós River in the south for 1 ½ hours, we'll reach the FLONA-Tapajós National Forest-aprox.650.000 has dense subtropical forest, primary forest, preserved by traditional populations. A simple and hospitable people invites us to share and learn their ancient knowledge. Traditional communities have embraced many sustainability projects forest; craft latex and seeds, rustic furniture, creation of native bees and Ecotourism.
We'll entered the jungle primary on a trek of 4 hours duration, enjoying trees, our guide and the communitarian guide will teach tha traditional uses of plants; hardwoods to build canoes and houses, vines and lianas to tie , medicinal plants, etc. ... besides explaining the life of the wildlife that inhabits this forest. Lunch will be eaten in a typical family home community, between animated conversations, sharing and enjoying their customs.
After visiting the community, we will canoe for a crystalline stream, natural source that is born in the forest and come pouring its waters in the Tapajós River, being a cradle of birds, fish and other animals.Its clear waters invite for snorkelling, which is a place of attraction for scientists and the aquarium aficionados worldwide. Will return to Alter do Chão enjoying the sunset in the Tapajós River.
10. Tapajós Rainforest Experience (Dag 3, 4-daagse arrangement)
Day 3 | Green Lake -Jari Channel- Cururu beach. Departure at 13:00 from - Beloalter Beach Hotel and return approx. at 19:00. We'll visit the Green Lake and its major streams-springs of pure water, after numerous curves between vegetation, come to the waters of the lake. At the time of the flood, (Feb-Aug) we get in a canoe by Enchanted Forest, maze of submerged trees populated by birds and monkeys.
In the dry season (Sep-Jan) streams allow them to walk on their edges, and surface snorkelling, spotting various types of aquarium fish. Leaving the lake, and crossing the river Tapajos 1 1/2 hours towards North, we come to a region of lowland floodplain, rich in flora and fauna, with houses on stilts and plenty to enjoy: The Hole Jari; narrow channel linking to the Amazon and Tapajós impresses us with its abundant flora and fauna. We'll visit lakes with Victoria Regia, the largest floating plant of the Amazon (full time), and walk along trails on foot in the dry season, or canoe during high water, densely populated by animals. Caimans, dolphins, monkeys of various kinds, iguanas, sloths, hundreds of birds are some of the species that we find in this tour.
The abundance of this fish arm of Amazon is that the fishing is possible for less experienced visitors, we fish for piranhas, catfish, traíras and other bottom fish. We'll appreciate the sunset in Ponta Cururu, Tapajós river beach with crystal clear waters, and where is frequent the presence of pink dolphins showing an unforgettable spectacle.
11. Tapajós Rainforest Experience - Belém
Vandaag komt er een einde aan dit fantastische arrangement. Transfer naar de luchthaven van Santarém, met aansluitend de vlucht naar Belém. Na aankomst wordt u verwelkomd op de luchthaven en met een transfer naar het hotel gebracht. De rest van de dag kunt u naar eigen inzicht besteden.
